This sword has been hand forged and polished in steel, as a reduced size replica, it has been designed based on William Wallace’s sword.
From the top of the pommel to the point of the blade, the original weapon measured 5ft 4ins and weighed 5.9lbs. After Wallace was captured in August 1305 he was imprisoned at Dumbarton Castle by the Governor Sir John Menteith. The sword was kept at the Castle for six centuries after Wallace’s capture and was transferred to the National Wallace Monument on the 17th November 1888.
