For her engagement to Prince Charles in 1981, Diana, Princess of Wales, was given a large 20-carat sapphire brooch surrounded by two rows of diamonds as an engagement gift by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Not being the type of person to wear a brooch, Diana later added rows of pearls to the brooch and turned it into a choker, which she often wore. Most notably, she was remembered for the night she danced at the White House with John Travolta in 1985.

This brooch is silver-plated and features a large central blue bohemian crystal surrounded by a halo of white bohemian crystals.
